Breadman TR 440 motor will not knead...there is no noise no movement. I can turn it by hand. What is wrong?

The bread machine timer works and the heater works... but no kneading. Also: what are the cycles like.... does it knead for 25 minutes, or just rise... what are the kneading cycles like... the dough cycle for example. If I can hot wire the motor... how long should it turn for to make bread?
