I know Catholics and Protestants are Christians...but I doubt if fundies are?

Modern Catholic and mainstream Protestants tend to have a more tolerant approach and more open view on biblical interpretations. Fundamentalist groups take a more cult-like, rigid and literal interpretation of the bible. Today's fundies are not that much different to yesterday's mainstream protestant. In another century the fundies may become as mainstream as today's mainstream protestants.
