Isn't it disgusting when our media portrays human rights activist protesting China & the Olympics as being..?

I have several friends who came here, more like escaped to the US, from China and the stories are just awful. The more wealthy the country becomes, the more control and abuse will be exerted on to the Chinese people. Remember these are the government leaders that pursued an arts and cultural search and destroy mission that annihilated their own art, history and culture. And now they are busy destroying their land by over farming and turning the whole country into a dust bowl. Short sighted and manifesto ruled, this country has more problems than you can believe. The best we can hope for the Olympics is that the Chinese leadership will see how humans are meant to be treated and expect to be treated. The rest of the world can go there and set an example of brotherhood and sisterhood and peace and respect. And some of the Chinese citizens will make some contacts so they can leave their country in the future and enjoy a better life.
