My ex is claiming I cheated on him and I never did. What do I do?

I broke up with my ex and started going out with a new guy. Now, my ex is telling my friends I cheated on him when I never did. I honestly have no idea what to do anymore. He's been spreading lies about me to everyone and it's slowly unnerving my current boyfriend.
