What did you think of the pilot episode of Dollhouse?

absolutely love the idea, but i much prefer the storyline with agent ballard investigating the dollhouse to the activities of the dollhouse itself. i think with a show like this that is less primed for comedy than a show like buffy, the underlying mythology of the show will always be more interesting than what happens each 'mission' cos without humour, its just not as enjoyable. i can only watch echo being a different person so many times before i just wanna know more about the dollhouse itself. the first episode was pretty good but didnt grab me. then again, whedons shows all start pretty slowly before becoming the greatest thing on tv, so hopefully its given a chance to grow, cos it has mes of potential
